At the 2006 graduation ceremony, Clovis High recognized 3 former Japanese students who were sent to internment camps during WWII with honorary diplomas. The honorees were Dr. Tetsuro Fujii (Class of 1942), Mine Matsumoto Ikeda (Class of 1942), Yoshio Jim Nishikawa (Class of 1944), Jiro Miyake (1942), and Marilyn Miyake Ishimaru (Class of 1944)
