Clovis High math teacher Tosh Demsey was named the California League of Schools high school Teacher of the Year April 28.
He is surprised by Superintendent Eimear O'Farrell and Deputy Superintendent Norm Anderson May 4 with congratulations balloons.
Local Region 7 winners were Demsey and in the elementary category, Young Elementary teacher Melissa Tanaleon.
