As a reward for students meeting the jog-a-thon fundraising goal, Garfield held a Hamster Ball Race. Top-earners from each class got to push the balls through the obstacle course. Inside the balls, for the red team, was GIS Jonathan Slater, and for the blue team, Plant Supervisor Michael Delgado. Principal Jennifer Bump was the event emcee.
